Last-minute bookings - how do we know?

I've turned off the bccing of new bookings because we were getting too many, but I do still need to know when a booking comes in within 24 hours of arrival, because I'll usually have done the allocations and I need to know it has to be added to our spreadsheet. How can I know? At the moment I'm just having to go to HS every hour or so and refresh the availability calendar, spot that the number of free beds has changed and then go into view/edit reservations to find the change. But this isn't a long-term solution. I can't check every hour.
